In 1979 I graduated high school AND saw The Jerk (1979). I clearly (for obvious reasons) remember the character Patty. To the eyes of an 18 year-old she seemed grizzled and worn and more than a little scary. I don't know how they managed to replace that middle-aged actress with the young and sexy one my 54 year-old eyes see now. Funny how that works. This edit is a little loose, mostly because of my attraction to dangerous knife-wielding psychopaths. Of special interest to fetishwear historians- the credits give a special thanks to Versatile Fashions, Mistress Antoinette's ground-breaking company. If you were familiar with their catalog you'll recognize that Patty is wearing several of their pieces.
I always meant to do this now I dont have to. I am saving this cause its that good. This really was a good movie on a whole. I always prefer to edit fun movies that are enjoyable versus those horrible ones but the good ones are few and far between.
ReplyDeleteYeah, there are movies to FF thru to see the bootie bits, and there are movies to watch. Everybody should watch The Jerk. I can't be the least bit objective about it, The comedy of Steve Martin was a HUGE part of my last couple of years of high school and this is probably the high watermark of his first comedic phase. Patti has a few other scenes that are fun, but I wanted to keep this under 200MB for zippyshare. Most of the clips I upload are from movies and shows that are unwatchable turd-buckets(except for the boots). I genuinely like The Jerk
