I've been waiting for an HD version of this for about 5 years. This is another movie that I've collected on virtually every format. While it has never been released on Blu-ray, I do believe this is a proper HD version, rather than an upscaled DVD. I love those boots. I've always loved those boots.

From Hardcore (1979) Finally an HD version of Season Hubley's fantastic late 70's thigh high boots.
Trimming this down, I was struck by how many of the seedy locales featured in the movie I had visited back in the day. In fact two of the locations (Playland and Les Girls) the movie implies are in Los Angeles are actually in San Diego. The San Diego spots (most of the day light scenes in this clip) were almost all filmed on Broadway, back when it full of derelicts and sailors on shore-leave. This area is now completely gentrified and full of high-finance, high-end condos and haute couture. The Santa Fe depot they walk past still stands. I know how native New Yorkers feel when they see Times Square footage from the 70's.
Ah superb ! Thank you. I really like this movie, not only because is a good one but those boot scenes are a clasical for me, some of the first that made me discover my fetish/passion for women in boots.

One of my longtime faves ... and FWIW, I actually like the movie too, though it's pretty rough at some points.
ReplyDeleteJust the picture alone of her on the bed with those boots front and center make it a must watch. The more I see the tv shows and movies of this era the more I admire the clothing and just how downright sexy the girls looked. I remember going through Times Square as a kid back in the early 80's and now working around the area how different and how well sterile it all is.
