The Outpost gets interesting

Imagine Game of Thrones made on the cheap for teenage girls on broadcast TV.  I'd say that pretty much describes The Outpost, a summer replacement show on The CW. For the entirety of the first season, warrior-girl star Jessica Green (above) wore what looked like pajamas and ugg boots. It was a shockingly ugly outfit that I dare not share here lest a new reader see it and be so horrified they never return.  My hopes were low heading into season 2......until..

Jessica wears the boots above(probably off-the-shelf OTK riders circa 2010) for all 13 episodes of the second season, which wrapped up in September. Unlike so many other TV action shows, some of the scenes are shot in daylight!  For us, I'd say this is the Sword & Sorcery equivalent of Supergirl.  I'll probably get around to trimming down all the episodes...someday. For now, it's available in all the usual places and has been renewed for a third season.
