Sally Field Fiddles With Her Boot

From Surrender (1987) Sally fiddles with her gold/bronze 80's style boot.

This clip breaks from the theme of "old ass clips from the depths of my hard-drive." I trimmed this down about 18 months ago. I stumbled across it while trying to get more information on the unknown "surrender" (see below).  These boots are seriously on the bubble. If she doesn't spend the majority of the clip fiddling with them, this doesn't make the cut. And I've always had a soft spot for Sally Field. I saw her shopping at the Tower Records in Santa Monica-she's a tiny little human. I suddenly believed a strong wind and a wimple could make her fly. BTW-thanks Internet, I know now that the wimple is the neck and chin part of a nun's habit and not the aerodynamic hat that lets nuns take flight. No one born after 1969 has the slightest idea what I'm talking about.

  1. Nice. Always like a bit of boot fiddling! Sally Field's best booted movie moment of course has to be those tan knee highs over jeans in Smokie and the Bandit.

  2. Vaguely reminds me (not sure why, really) of an early scene from "Stripes" when Bill Murray's girlfriend puts on her clothes and leaves him ... 1980-style Frye-esque boots being pulled on.
