"Stocking?" Boots?

Apparently if you work at Vogue and want to mis-label all thigh high boots as stocking boots you can do that. Now I believe that all stores should be stocking boots this season and I've done my share of stalking boots, but not all thigh high boots are stocking boots.

It's a decent over-view of thigh boots with a magnificent selection of pre-1975 thigh high boots in the slide-show. The expanded versions of some of the pics are really nice. Other than my quibble about nomenclature, it's well worth a visit
