Mary J. Blige, Reba McEntire, Jane Fonda, Lindsey Lohan (circa 2007) Kylie Minogue: these are boot goddesses. They don't travel in the same orbits as we mortals do. Boot girls could live next door (if you're very, VERY lucky). I've known a handful of boot girls. As I've said previously they might not love boots the way we do, but thank God for them.
As I'm sure you've noticed I'm currently obsessed with Alison Haislip. In the coming months, we'll be seeing much more of Tanya Memme. The Booted Newswomen Blog has done a wonderful job cataloging the many boots of the charming Kim Horcher. I know that the Newswomen Blog is much more popular than mine and I'm certain that you, my dear reader, are already aware of the magnificence that is Ms Horcher. I'd like to present this small photographic tribute (and link to all of her posts on the newswomen blog)
Last night I got an e-mail from Barry Brite of the Booted Newswoman Blog. He thought (correctly) that I'd really enjoy the two clips of Kim Horcher from Nerd Alert that he posted yesterday. He wanted to make sure I didn't miss them. Of course I had already seen them. Like all good boot hobbyists, I visit his blog several times a day. He also thought my readers would like them. In my reply e-mail I assured him that anyone interested in my odd little corner of the interwebs was most certainly an avid reader of his blog.
So, while I'm certain that you've already seen these, I'm posting the videos because it gives me a chance to thank Barry once again for his tireless efforts. I remain in awe of his ability to engage the subjects of his blog. Public figures tweet him pictures of themselves in boots(I still can't really wrap my brain around this). As a hermit/archivist I'm amazed by his ability to maintain a network of contributors/tipsters. I know how hard it is to do what he makes look easy. Hell, I don't know how he comes up with those horrible puns he often uses as post titles.
Anyway, Barry thought you'd like these, I like them. Enjoy, even though I'm sure you've already seen them. And if you haven't seen them, you need to visit The Appreciation of Booted Newswomen Blog more often.

Renowned boot-girl Kim Horcher should be no stranger to you. I've highlighted her on a few occasions and Tamaro at the Booted NewsWomen Blog has devoted an entire wing to her magnificence. Kim is best known for her work as hostess of NerdAlert, but I recently stumbled across her work with WhatTheFlick, a youtube "wrap-up" channel. Searching the channel for "Horcher" will display all the shows she done. Being Kim she's booted in almost all of them. For your convenience I've sorted out a sampler of 6 which feature long, couch-based discussions with Kim wearing tasty over the knee boots.
