Supergirl-A Promise Fulfilled

It's a sign of my deep seated pessimism that I had to actually see a non-pilot episode to believe that Kara's high-scalloped red OTK's would actually be Supergirl's regular outfit(this is S01E02).  A few random observations-the kryptonite chamber fight scene is largely complete, while the dark warehouse scene is pretty heavily edited.  This show will force a lot of these choices based almost entirely on lighting.  While we all know that evil twins wear boots, it appears that evil aunts (who happen to be your mother's twin) wear horrible stretchy fabric body suits that are reminiscent of the StarFleet uniforms from Next Generation. A wasted opportunity that I hope will be rectified before her return to the show.
Finally, it's odd that that CBS airs this show directly opposite Gotham on Fox. Even though both shows are based on DC comics, they could not be more different in tone. I don't think Supergirl will feature a scene where a man has his neck pierced by the spike heel of a sadist's boot(see above).
