How I wasted my time this morning

Come with me down a tiny little rabbit hole I've chosen to climb out of before my day was consumed by it.
Before I tell my tale, I'd like to restate something I said years ago. I have only a passing interest in the boots of lady wrestlers and know very little of the "sport."  The participants, male and female, are clearly exceptional athletes. I merely question if the matches are actual competitions or simply scripted melodramas played out in the squared circle.  This blog will never be anything close to an effective resource for this genre.
So, I was checking out my flickr feed and they recommended an uploader with a fondness for fit young women, mostly professional wrestlers.  While I found many of the images pleasing,  I was struck by the huge number of faux boots. Their costume designers seem enamored by the look of OTK/thighboots, but are quick to resort to trickery to achieve their goals. I find the whole matter quite frustrating, but was reminded of two wrestlers who routinely wear proper fashion/street OTK's in the ring. Namely Malia Hosaka (above) and Gail Kim (below).  As I started to click away, I noticed the clear warning symptoms of rabbit-holious browser-bloomious and chose to close them windows and walk away. If y'all want more, you can find 'em yourself.

  1. Malia Hosaka is incredible. She's worn the same pair of otk black leather boots in nearly all of her matches. There's a treasure trove on Youtube.

  2. Try Santana Garret, Amber O Neal, Taeler Hendrix, Jessie Belle, Penelope Ford..in most matches they wear otk boots
