Vintage (?) boots

I had just finished trimming this clip of Hollywood Knights (1980) back in May when I read this stellar post by AndyP about recreating vintage fashion. I immediately thought of this clip. The movie is set in the Fall of 1965. Without any supporting documents, I believe that carhops would not have been wearing boots like this in that year. Majorette boots, maybe. Side zip knee boots a few years later, certainly.  Boots similar to these would have been available in '65, but probably not worn like this. I'm guessing these exact boots were from a cheerleader supply store and are modeled after classic 60's side zips. Or it's just the heat and fatigue talking.
