The Joy is alive

As I've mentioned a few times, Killjoys is a show that airs on SyFy. It just returned for its 4th season (episode 3 airs Aug 3).  Along with Wynonna Earp (above, hopefully) it's part of a Friday night action-girl block.  Both shows are filled with swaggering bad-assery, but uneven bootage. The most frustrating thing about Killjoys is the costume designer's fondness for long coats. It's less of a problem in the clip below, but what would have been a great season premier was ruined by a long cloak over Hannah John-Kamen's tasty looking OTKs.  I don't want to waste too much time on preamble. In s04e02, we're introduced to a new character (who may or may not be recurring)

This is Fairuza, she's introduced to us as some sort of intergalactic dominatrix.  Yes, she looks exactly like a very famous terrestrial dominatrix. If you know, you know.
Anyway, in the clip below, we see her bootless introduction (because I love light comedy dommes) and then move on to her exploring a deserted ship (in a decent thighboot outfit) with a booted strawberry blonde companion (WARNING: scanners detect boot covers/spats on companion).
I get the feeling Fairuza will be back. Killjoys seems to be an enjoyable waste of time and I would probably get hooked if I started watching it (rather than just monitor for boots). It's been nicely booted for it's entire run, just a little uneven and frustrating.
