If you're like me, and you're probably at least a little like me, you can't see a picture like the one above and not be eager to see more. Regardless of how I feel about Kendell Jenner (AKA the 19-year-old one) or her family, give me lace up thigh boots at the Chanel Metiers d'Art 2014 show and I'm interested. My interest waned considerably when I saw the full body shot. As you may know I'm quite tolerant of low heels on high boots (more tolerant than many of you), but there are limits. Some how they managed to screw up thigh high boots. At least when Keshia Chante broke my heart she was wearing boots with cut-outs. These are just ugly tri-color monstrosities. If they had been a single color I MIGHT have been able to forgive them. Or if the foot was somewhat less like a clown shoe. But, no those are just bad.A few hours ago the entire show was posted on youtube. In its defense there are some tolerable knee-high patent flats and quite a few other boots (including some nice OTK's on audience members) Here it is-
Out of morbid curiosity, I trimmed out the best presentation of the Thigh High Brogans. Kendell's not wearing them, but this is the best view we get of them. As I say in the youtube caption, "Look away, lest your vision be damaged.
I agree Bruce. Kendall's footwear has been lamentable since her supermodel pretensions rose to the surface.
ReplyDeleteYou mention Keshia Chanté. For the benefit of those of us who can't receive BET's 1066 and Park, is she still wearing thigh-high boots? Or was the late Oct/early Nov explosion little more than an experiment that went wrong?

That show with the blue suede "boots" was one of the last ones before their 2 week thanksgiving break. The show just returned to air this Monday, Keshia was bootless on Monday and Tuesday and hasn't been seen since. Ex host "Tigga" has been hosting. Sadly the show is going off the air forever on Dec 16-but they are going "web only" whatever that might mean for Ms Chante. I'm watching today's show right now and Rosario Dawson just walked out in very nice suede OTK's.

Im personally a big fan of both high heeled and flat, but I agree. This pair is godawful.
