Actress Barbara Steele is legendary in the horror/cult movie circles I travel in. Most of her work was just before the boot era AND tended towards Gothic costume horror. This is great for the tight bodice, heaving bosom crowd, but bad for boots. I was SHOCKED to stumble across Barbara et ses fourrures (Barbara and her Furs), a short film that aired on French television in 1967.

The set-up is unique- Barbara falls asleep reading Venus In Furs and dreams of herself and friends, kitted out in furs and boots swishing whips, looking stern and strutting about. (That's one awkward sentence, but it gets the job done and I'm in no mood for a re-write).
