A reader mentioned an early Blonde performance of Rip Her To Shreds on youtube and that got me started.
Just a few days ago, Andy P said on his blog,
.....another example of where the hard data from the catalogs contradicts the vision of the late 70s as a riot of Blondie-style thighbootedness. As someone who was very much aware of bootage in the late 70's I can tell you that any sort of over the knee boot was a rare sighting in the late 70's. While it was a fertile time for quality knee boots, OTK's and thighboots remained exceedingly uncommon "on the ground." At least it was so in my little corner of California and on the television I watched.
Excellent find, Bruce. Really excellent. The quality is like it is but the boots.... Ohhhh man, do i remeber the boots.
