Doesn't seem so regal to me

The Royals (airing on E) seems like a silly little show that vacillates between maudlin and tawdry. I lack the time and patience to catalog the show's sins against boot hobbyists, but suffice it to say the costumers are NOT our friends. There are some exceptions, usually involving the brunette princess.

The good news about S02E07? There are few things I like more than leather pants worn under riding boots (I'll even accept "leather" pants). The bad news? As my friend JA will quickly notice, Liz Hurley is riding in a pair of ludicrous cowboy-style ankle shoes.  Who does that?

"Well," you might say, "S02E03 isn't so bad, this well-shot frolic in floppy suede flats isn't horrible." And you'd be right, but in the scenes that immediately followed this, they made a big deal about the princess attending a fetish party wearing frightful high-heeled ankle shoes!
