In boot terminology news I'm sure you've been dying to hear: I am adopting "DeBooting" as my official shorthand for a boot removal scene. It's clean, concise and much easier to type than "boot removal scene." I haven't finalized the entry which will be placed in my boot addendum to the AP style guide. Are all boot pull-on scenes re-boots? Can she re-boot if we didn't see her de-boot? If the boots are pulled on and off in the same scene is that a re-boot, de-boot or a re/de-boot? Am I beginning to over-think this?
