I freely admit to a fondness for stern women in uniform. In Defiance S02E02 we're treated to just such a lady wearing a nice pair of riding boots (bonus points for the cap). The series is usually a bit of disappointment. A prime example being the outfit of the ginger-haired alien in this scene. What COULD have been thigh high boots are instead some sort of chap/spat/boot-cover contraption. IMO, anybody who says "those are just as good as boots" doesn't really understand boots.

Some decent leather wear, but for me more frustration than joy. Lots of things that are close, (like the chaps/spats) but that ultimately lead to disappointment. I haven't scrutinized every episode, but.....
