The Shannara Chronicles

So The Shannara Chronicles debuted on MTV a couple of days ago.  It looks like it could be a decent fantasy actioner. Poppy Drayton wears a pair of sturdy but stylish knee boots over "leather" pants almost constantly. The other female lead wears disappointing ankle shoes, but both take part in the usual fighting and jumping and kicking and sword-swinging. There's a very good chance of guest stars (particularly villainesses) showing up in better boots.  I'm going to say better than Xena, but no where near as good as the second season of Legend of the Seeker.  I'll continue to monitor, but this is the kind of show that I MIGHT get to in the summer.  But it seems like the kind of easy to find show that will feature non-stop low-level action leather and bootage if your tastes run that way. I'm downloading every episode, but these are the kind of shows that can be a nightmare to trim down. And right now I've got more interesting things to do.
