As someone mentioned in the comments a while back, the trailer for the set-in-the-early-80's A Most Violent Year, showed Jessica Chastain wearing some tasty vintage knee boots. Saw it in a near empty theater last night. A number of scenes featuring very nice brown heeled knee boots worn over jeans. You can bet upon its video release I'll be highlighting it here.
Not enough bootage to justify seeing it JUST for the boots, but a nice additional point of interest for an above average Martin Scorsese style movie(with big chunks of The Godfather thrown in).
In fact, I might have liked it more than last year's Scorsese tribute film (American Hustle) or Scorsese self-parody (Wolf of Wall Street).
Last Minute Edit: On further reflection, I'd have to reverse myself and say this might be better viewed as a companion/response to The Godfather Part II with chunks of Scorsese thrown in.
Looking forward to this. Probably my fave boot era as I was an impressionable kid at the time and have quite a 'thing' for high heeled, tan knee high boots..!
