Kesha in OTK Flats

There are some boots that are important not because they are great, but because they represent an era. Arguably, 2010/11 was the highwater mark for the cheap, ubiquitous OTK flats. You could argue that these boots in brown are slightly more representative, but for a period these boots were EVERYWHERE. Oddly, somewhere in my VHS collection I have a clip of Regis from the late 80's/early 90's drooling over a singer's boots that were almost exactly like this.
Two parts to this one.

First the Interview-

A bootcentric edit of Kesha wearing over the knee boots on Lopez Tonight from 2010. This interview is chopped up and if you're dying to hear all of Kesha's words of wisdom you're out of luck(probably on at least 2 accounts).

The performance-

You might notice that when I made these clips I didn't know exactly how to spell her name. This morning I googled her for spelling and dates. The link below (of course from The Daily Mail, the source of breaking celeb boot news) is from earlier this morning. I'm not surprised Kesha is still wearing boots. I'm a little surprised anyone is still taking her picture.

Yet another last minute add- I'm beginning to understand why snark is so widespread. It's an easy cheap laugh. Without breaking a sweat I gave Kesha 2 cheap shots that she doesn't really deserve. I need to try to be nicer, but if I really cared I'd delete the jabs.

  1. Well, I actually like Kesha (Ke$ha), and I also dig these videos. Good stuff!

    1. Yeah, I don't know what was wrong with me yesterday. The boots are fine, I really miss seeing them every time I go to the mall or turn on my TV. Kesha (It seems like she's officially dropped the "$") doesn't make the kind of music I would choose to listen to, but neither do about 98% of other recording artists. Her "I'll do FU@KING ANYTHING" persona seems a little forced to me, but I find her more tolerable than many people who've grabbed the spotlight in recent decades. I must have been in "a mood."
