More Catherine And Other Historical Boots

After yesterday's run down of Catherine The Great movies, a reader reminded me that Julia Ormond wore the Empresses' boots in Young Catherine (1991) And I remembered 1963's grossly disappointing Catherine of Russia(again with the majorette boots?)
I also remembered that 2 years ago (ok, 1 year and 11 months) I uploaded scenes from Il Cavaliere Misterioso (1948) which casts Casanova as a sort of proto-James Bond. In his travels across Europe he encounters a lady spy in one of the least convincing "masquerading as a man" outfits I've seen. Thankfully, her boots are quite convincing. Our hero then travels to Russia, where he "befriends" Catherine The Great and when she twists her ankle while riding, he's polite enough to rub it through her boot (shame he didn't try to kiss it to make it better). Again, this has been lurking in the older pre-blog section of my youtube channel for ages, so you might have seen it, but just in case-----

  1. I liked the bedroom scene of our heroine strutting around in high boots and slightly girly cami top. Perfect.
