Yuri- Festival de Viña del MAR 2011 - HD Completo

If you've been doing this for as long as I have you may remember the Mexican singer Yuri. I had no idea she released her first album in 1978, but I certainly recall that by the mid-80's she was as reliably bootie as Mary J. Blige. Buried somewhere on a VHS tape I have a closet tour segment where she's surrounded by a mountain of boots. Here's a more recent concert. She changes outfits multiple times, and the bootie bits are between 19:05-35:20.

Power went out just as I was writing this(yes on Thanksgiving morning). Finishing up on my laptop. Happy Thanksgiving everybody in the states. I've got loads to be thankful for, but I'll be very thankful when the power comes back on.

I love to label things. Categorizing helps me make sense of the world. There are nine pairs of over the knee boots in the two pictures above and to me they look almost identical.  I would hesitate to call them "stocking" boots.  The material is far thicker than a stocking. BUT, they are clearly more a fabric than a hide. I was looking at them and thought, "They kinda remind me of leg-warmers."  And the more I thought of it, the more it made sense. 

From now and forever forward, I will be refer to this sort of boot as LEGWARMER BOOTS. I have spoken.

Yesterday(11/26/19), Marie Osmond made her seasonal thighboot debut on The Talk. A little birdy told me that a certain someone with a newswoman blog (one of the greatest in the history of the internet) had a crush on Ms Osmond. Which is why I wanted to rush this one out. And because I can't leave well enough alone, I had to load the clip up with some other random clips I had laying around.
I would be remiss in my duties if I failed to mention the Spanish language dating show Enamorándonos(on Univision). The oft-booted and beloved Ana Patricia Gámez (from ¡Despierta América!) is the hostess and the show features a parade of lovely singles. The standout in this clip is the stunning cowboy footed OTK's paired with a shearling jacket. I've only been following Enamorándonos for a couple of days now and it's fab.

One of the problems with my rather myopic focus on Spanish language TV is that I give short shrift to some US shows, esp the talent competitions.  If you see some capture worthy scene that you think I might miss, let me know. The comment section in the most recent post is a pretty good place for it. Try to be a little specific. "You know, that show with that girl," is not terrible helpful (unless you're giving me a tip about the actual show That Girl).  But anything as general as "sometime in the last 3 weeks on The Voice" is more than enough.

24 hours with Spanish language TV

 "So Bruce," say the voices in my head, "why do you spend so much time monitoring the Spanish language stations."
"Well," I reply to no one, "in less than 24 hours I saw-"

• A group of singers wearing mid-thigh skirts and thigh-high boots
• A singer in a FINE denim jumpsuit and tan thighboots
• A singer in sherbet colored stocking boots
• A singer in a jaw-dropping fetish-y outfit with patent thighboots
• A singer in sparkly thighboots
• A cooking segment that was interrupted by a woman in thighboots doing step aerobics
• A thighbooted interviewer
• A hostess in a decent pair of knee boots (included only to keep up the theme)

Everything in the clip below aired between the evening of Sunday, Nov 24 2019 thru to Monday afternoon.  Admittedly, this was an above average 24 hours, but take away the denim jumpsuit and shiny thighboots and it's pretty average for these stations.  That's why my DVR is full of shows I can't understand, but will always love dearly.

During my break

During my break I stumbled across a great way to download almost any youtube video in 1080p for free. And unlike my previous method, it doesn't require that you use Firefox as your browser. It's a small stand-alone program called 4K Video Downloader.  I'm not comfortable just providing a direct link to the developer, so here's a review from TechRadar. You can read for yourself and decide if it's something you might like.

From Benjamin (2019) Boy, this clip was on the bubble. It's short and the boots aren't that great. But it is Peri Gilpin as a light-comedy biker-chick and the rest of her outfit is interesting.  I needed a short and easy clip to test a few things. I tested a few things. What was I going to do, get it all set and then not post it?
