Musketeer Boots

The 1969 French TV mini-series adaptation of The 3 Musketeer's (called simply D'Artagnan) is an odd beast.  As much as I love the later variations (musketeer's daughters, a kick ass Milady De Winter, etc), the source material is quite lacking in booted women. Yet, here we have a very faithful adaption of Dumas that goes out of its way to show us that Milady is wearing cuissardes under her gowns.  And adds an out-of-character fencing scene.  The most logical explanation I can think of is, "you know, 1969."

BTW-the source of this is 5 hours long that I trimmed from a youtube rip.  I just did it yesterday, so it seems very fresh to me. I have to remind myself that to you, this is indistinguishable from clips I made 3 years ago.
