So that's new

You may have noticed I just added a new gadget to the blog that displays the 7 most recent comments(over there to the right).  I've had remarkably good fortune with comments. There's been very little spamming and I've gotten some good tips through comments, some of which I haven't been able to fully investigate.  Adding this was a spur of the moment, 7 am on a Sunday kind of decision. I reserve the right to take it down once the coffee kicks in. Is there some downside to this I'm not considering?
