Early 60's Boots-2 kinds

From Les Yeux cernés (1964) She wears 2 different boots from the dawn of the boot era. The black calf boots are typical, the suede knee boots above average. While boots of this style were not unheard of in 1964, it is unlikely they would have been worn by a rural inn-keeper's daughter. There is much to suggest that the film-maker used  boots to symbolize her capriciousness, predatory sexuality and possible madness(or he just really liked boots).

From The Romantic Englishwoman (1975). Glenda Jackson wears a classic pair of mid-70's boots with a knee length skirt. If not for the close-up at the beginning this might not make the cut.

Girl Group Circa 2009

From the golden age: The Pussycat Dolls perform on Regis and Kelly in 2009. Note the blonde in thigh high boots. Note the two pairs of proper knee boots and the two pairs of calf-high boots. I remember being a little miffed that only one singer was in boots over the knee. Little did I suspect the horror that was to come. I'm pretty sure that a 2015 version wouldn't feature a single pair of boots much above the ankle.
