Just some guy obsessed with women wearing boots. Here you'll find all sorts of mostly safe-for-work bootage. The emphasis is on booted women in the popular media.

On Thanksgiving, while I was struggling to keep a civil tongue in my head, Dr Morgus was capping the Macy's Parade. While the parade has seen one of the finest pairs of boots in history,(refreshed download link) too often it seems a study of frustration to me. Bulky float structures, bad camera angles and a bloated total run time usually discourage me. Thankfully, the good Doctor is made of sterner stuff. There's some decent boots in this mix. On a different day I might list all the boots and wearers. But it's not a different day.
For a few years in the late 70's/early 80's Broadway legend Chita Rivera was pretty reliably booted. It often seemed like her uniform was black leather knee boots worn over black spandex pants. A reader reminded me of her glory days with a link to the 1980 Macy's Parade-
I tried to trim this down, but.....anyway Chita's segment begins at about 55:30 and runs for about 4 minutes of a full body camera angle of her dancing in knee boots and spandex. The quality is about what you'd expect from an 80's era VHS.
Sadly there seem to be few other artifacts from this period. At the time she was a frequent talk-show guest and her appearances were must-see TV. I did find this fine dance segment where she keeps the knee boots but trades the spandex for nicely baggy fabric-
Other scattered bits. Below she appears with her grown-daughter, both are wearing fine 70's boots under knee-length skirts with only the walk-out providing decent views-
An almost completely unrelated clip- Elizabeth Taylor was certainly not a regular boot-wearer which makes this clip from Johnny Carson of minor interest. On virtually anyone else, Liz's moto-jacket and calf-high boots would be beneath note, but....

Gotham went into the winter hiatus with one of Tabby's best scenes since....well since the great fight scene last week. And sole-lovers will find much to enjoy in the earlier parts of this clip as well.

This is S01E05 of Supergirl. The show remains innocent and fun and gives some nice bootcentric fighting and some decent daytime views. At this point if I had a gripe with the show it would be that so far the female villains have been very poorly shod. An "electro-girl" in Doc Martens---- Really?
