It seems like so long ago

Halloween 2016 seems so long ago. I just realized that all three women in this clip have been featured on the blog in the last week or two. 3 observations, first, Lara Spencer's Hamilton deserved better boots. More importantly, I'm a little befuddled by Tam Hall's Pretty Woman costume that features knee boots. Vivian's hooker boots are iconic (and may have ruined high boots for a decade). In a season where you could buy over-the-knee boots at the corner grocery it amazes me that they chose knee boots.....unless (time for some tin-foil-hat crazy) there was a conscious attempt to de-skank-ify thighboots.  Admittedly this is almost as unlikely as my notion that The Wendy Williams Show intentionally showcased high-boots on audience members. In my defense it gets lonely here sometimes and I have too much time to think while clips upload. Finally, in my earlier Halloween post I complained about the decline in costume bootage. This year might not have been as bad as years past, but still failed to live up to my expectations, and I blame Harley Quinn costumes!

A "taxing" mix

Two flashes of boots from E "News" and The View, Eve still looking really good in above average "suede" thighboots, a woman, who's name escapes me, wearing a pair of below average fabric thighboots on Gordo y Flaca (still "Flaca" gets seriously out-booted). A Big Wheel race on Harry is more about the leather suit than the boots. On anybody but Maureen Mccormick those knee boots get left on the cutting room floor (if you're in your 50's you understand). Finally, yet another pair of thighboots on a strategically placed Wendy Williams audience member.

Marina Sirtis joined her NextGen cast mates on Home and Family (on the Hallmark Channel) to mark the Blu-Ray release of Star Trek:The Next Generation. She was kind enough to wear a fetching pair of wine-colored thighboots.

Leg 2 meters long secret: not Meitu Xiu Xiu

This link has been floating around for awhile, you've probably already seen it. I'm not sure what I like more, the superior selection of pictures or the horribly mangled English. I think it has to be the Chinese to English output of google translate. I was curious about the title, it turns out Meitu Xiu Xiu is a Chinese photo-editor. So the title should roughly translate to "Thighboots, not Photoshop, are the secret to long legs." You're on your own to decipher, "This is Victoria Song's foot double fire Stuart Weitzman, basically mentioned thigh boots four words many people will think of it."

On tap today:A contestant on Celebrity Name Game gets all the right answers in a pair of leather OTK riders, Catt Sadler wears a tall pair of "suede" boots on E "News"(God I hate that show-the earnestness they display when discussing trivial garbage is nauseating-the boots are nice though, note you can just see the top of the shaft in that sitting shot). Ali Fedotowsky and Garcelle Beauvais (google search doubles as a great spell-check) show off two version of the grey "suede" boot.  On Home & Family (on The Hallmark Channel) Ali wears an almost cowboy-footed version that makes for a pleasant change from the flat, but remains a wearable day-boot. On Hollywood Today Live, Garcelle wears a nice spiky pair. We wrap-up with a fashion segment from The Today Show and a Wendy Williams audience member shows great taste in a pair of leather thigh-high flats.
