Just some guy obsessed with women wearing boots. Here you'll find all sorts of mostly safe-for-work bootage. The emphasis is on booted women in the popular media.
I've long maintained that ONJ is much more.....interesting...than her public persona would suggest. Sure, you could say this video is just a light-hearted statement of female empowerment. But that overlooks the fact that it is a catalog of traditional femdom scenarios.
And there's the video for Landslide, the last half of which is set in a dungeon and has a stern Olivia seducing and then imprisoning her shirtless boy-toy. Can we forget the video for Physical? In the middle third, Olivia plays a personal trainer so...assertive..that she'd be the subject of a number of sexual harassment suits (and have a very long list of clients). The good-girl act isn't fooling anybody Olivia.
Every once and a while, I like to visit the Zappos youtube channel and search for over the knee and thigh high. The results are always usually enjoyable. They're a minute long commercial focusing on some pleasant (usually) pair of boots. To belabor a point, these are the kind of videos that were unthinkable in the pre-internet age that we now take for granted.
As I was browsing thru Zappos, I came across.......these. I am EXTREMELY tolerant of non-standard boots. I'll find something to like about almost any pair of high shafted boots. But there are limits to tolerance. There are sins so grave, designs so heinous, that even I cannot abide them. In horror I present to you, the UGG Moto Punk (even the name is awful). These might be the ugliest tall boots I have ever seen (and I've seen a few).
Yes, Felicity Jones wears a fetching "flight suit" in the new golden age of ballooning movie The Aeronauts. But unless you've got a depraved fondness for Victorian era lace-up ankle shoes....
