Blondie - Rip Her to Shreds

I was clearing out my "drafts" folder and stumbled across this from back on Dec 1. I don't know why this one stalled or what else I was hoping to add, but here's some vintage Blondie bootage(the Mike Douglas footage looks every bit of 37 years old). BTW-I CLEARLY remember coming home from school and seeing this new group Blondie on the Mike Douglas show being blown away by the singer's boots. According to this it would have been my junior year of high school.
A reader mentioned an early Blonde performance of Rip Her To Shreds on youtube and that got me started.

Just a few days ago, Andy P said on his blog,

.....another example of where the hard data from the catalogs contradicts the vision of the late 70s as a riot of Blondie-style thighbootedness.
As someone who was very much aware of bootage in the late 70's I can tell you that any sort of over the knee boot was a rare sighting in the late 70's. While it was a fertile time for quality knee boots, OTK's and thighboots remained exceedingly uncommon "on the ground." At least it was so in my little corner of California and on the television I watched.
