A Maid's Boots

After my post Emmanuelle Béart in Musketeer Boots my good friend JA left a comment about Ms Beart and the boots she wore in 8 Women (2002). He included the quote below-
"Costume designer Pascaline Chavanne recalled that after Emmanuelle Béart was on the set and dressed in her maid outfit the actress requested taller boots to wear. After Béart’s character reveals that she had been the mistress of the murdered man, she stands in front of a gaudy painting of a younger version of Denevue’s character sings her song “Pile ou face” (heads or tails). In the process, she loosens her maid’s apron and undoes a few buttons. After the song she sits down and puts her feet up, revealing her very high leather boots, symbolic of her sexuality, which had been hidden to the other women."  If you think I can read something like that and not immediately investigate.....The boots are not as high as I might like, but they are outstanding examples of the type and we are treated to some excellent views. The reviewer mis-remembered the scene order slightly, as the boot reveal is before, not after, the song. I will say that her transition from prim, submissive maid to sexpot is effective and stunning.

Sorry, no youtube

  1. Many thanks for finding this. Her boots are not my favourite style by a long way, but Miss Beart is extremely sexy and I'm impressed by the fact that she demanded longer, sexier boots from the costume designer!

  2. I admire what you have done here. I like the part where you say you are doing this to give back but I would assume by all the comments that this is working for you as well. BRSM.IO Social Media Marketing
