As the following posts will attest, I like Gotham....a lot. It's probably one of my favorite shows. And not just for the boots and the crazy. I found the Ed and Oswald and Fish and Butch and Don Flacone story lines to be every bit as engaging as Babs and Tabby. The show finds a nice middle ground between the camp of the Adam West series and the 90's movies and the overwhelming heavy-handed ponderousness of the Dark Night movies. I'll be sorry to see it end after the upcoming, abbreviated season.
Just about every one of the clips below run too long. I like those characters and am emotionally invested in them. I meant for these clips to be rough drafts and I planned to go back and trim them further before posting. I couldn't. They were in danger of becoming stale and getting pushed down my queue until they disappeared into my unfinished projects purgatory. They were too good for that. I've got one other Gotham related project I want to take care of and then I'm taking a break before I assail the disappointing season 4.
p.s. Whoever designs Tabby's outfits owes a HUGE debt to Mistress Nikita of Florida.... if you know, you know.
I'm not ready to say farewell to Babs&Tabs.
ReplyDeleteNot after losing the Mord Siths and the Lost Girl too in such a short span.
Not after Shadowhunters has turned into an anklefest.
Only the Widow stands (barely).
We are unlikely to see a duo like Babs&Tabs ever again.
DeleteBut, don't sleep on Killjoys (and maybe W.Earp).
And The Widow....oh please: 90% tease 10% deliver
Any plans to do clips with Selina from season 4?
ReplyDeleteOf course, Camren turned 18 between the filming of seasons 3 and 4. Sadly, they changed her outfit from Frye-style knee-scrapers to something approximating 18 hole Docs. Not that I noticed anything about her prior to that.
