Thank Dr Morgus for this look at Lori Loughlin in suede knee highs from the Xmas movie North Pole: Open For Christmas.

I don't mean to get off on a rant here, but as much as I love Christmas movies and the boots they often contain, I really hate Christmas movies despite the boots they often contain.  My main beef is that there are too many of them and they are almost all exactly the same. I can't keep track of them.  I think it's realistic to estimate that about 50 live-action, aimed at adult women, Christmas movies are pumped out each year by the various cable networks (seems like 25 of those are from Hallmark alone). It's been this way for around 10 years.  So lets say that's roughly  500 movies all of which share 3 or 4 "Romantic Christmas" plots.  For about 2 months out of the year I find myself wondering, "Have I already seen this 'Santa's Daughter' finds love movie from 2011."  What about this "hard-driving business woman re-discovers the magic of Christmas and finds love from 2013?" What about this "city-dweller gets stranded in a small town and re-discovers the magic of Christmas and finds love from 2009?"

Merry Christmas and all, but I'm not well enough organized to keep track of all these movies.

  1. Yeah, but you get to live in a country where Lori Loughlin is on the telly wearing boots. So it's not a total bust.
