This "Checkerboard" scene preceded every black & white episode of The Avengers that aired in the US. I hope this answers the question, "Why does Bruce love Emma Peel so much?" I'm sure there are better versions of this out there, but this was already on my hard-drive and features the repeats that I was so fond of back in 2011.

I knew this didn't air in the UK. Glad you liked it, will try to find an HD version if it exists. Watching it again, I think I might have cut it short. I'd have sworn we were treated to a view of her walking away at the end.
DeleteI don't know how, even back then, could watch those 3 (and sadly only 3) of Ms. Rigg wearing that leather jumpsuit/catsuit and not have....well I don't have to comment further. I do hope that the suit was saved/not destroyed or in someone's collection.
ReplyDeleteYeah she only wore that leather catsuit 3 times, a fourth from a promo thats in color promoting the color era in the US I believe (the only color footage of that catsuit). Also Rigg wore several leather outfits and boots in her b&w first season. Those were quite nice sights too for us guys. Why she didn't wear these anymore in her colored 2nd season was because she hated the leather and wanted something with more movement. The leather was very tight and constricting shes quoted as saying. She had a say or design into her color outfits from what I read. She did only wear a one piece leather outfit once in one episode. Apparently it was a reaction from the male audience why she wasn't wearing the leather suits. Buts its sad they promote it in that short promo but she never really wore leather anymore in the 2nd season.
