Unlikely Bootage in Mary Queen of Scots

The 2013 version of Mary Queen of Scots has Mary riding, striding and even playing badminton in thigh high boots. For once I think the boots might be the mostly historically accurate detail. I would have liked a more constructed foot (perhaps similar to the "Braided Campus"-see below). But my gut is that these are at least Ren-fair accurate. I must admit I find Camille Rutherford quite appealing in the title role



Man, movies like this take a long time to trim down. I know I've said it before, but cutting a movie with quality bootage throughout  is an exacting, time-consuming process. It make me realized why some of the best movies are still in the to-do pile. And why my finished folder has so many 45 second clips.
