Known boot-perv Regis Philbin manages to mostly contain himself (check out how he contorts to see her walk-out) in the face of Sarah Michelle Gellar's magnificent day boots. This is from 2006 and has been floating around the internet for almost as long. Turns out I have about three versions of this, this is the one I like best. All my old friends have seen this, and have probably forgotten about it-this was 12 YEARS ago.

Here's a shocking bit of news I just discovered. I was afraid I had already posted this, so I searched this blog for "Gellar" -no hits, searched for "SMG" -no hits. Searched for Sarah and winnowed through all those - no hits.  I cannot believe that in 2669 posts I have not mentioned her once before this.  Sure she never quite lived up to her early potential (I know about the Buffy costume quote) but STILL, nothing? I still can't believe it.  I might have to find and trim down an  HD Scooby Doo just to make up for this.

  1. She was quite a disappointment onscreen (but, then, those were the awful 90s) but she sported some great boots once in a while in real life.

    1. There was so much hype around SMG and boots in the early Buffy days. I remember there was a mainstream British mag that ranked "booted icons" or something like that and SMG was no. 1! Ahead of BeBe and Jane Fonda! There was no way to live up to that.

  2. As I recall (my memory is probably playing tricks), there were some decent boot scenes in SMG's series, "Ringer," which was pretty good and got cancelled before ever resolving the central mysteries! She played twins in the show.

  3. I too remember this clip - SMG looks utterly magnificent. If you are interested in harvesting more old clips that have never been featured on here, I have a HD version of Olivia Munn in her glorious black leather Loubies on George Lopez, in 2009.
