Sally James deserves a better introduction than this. In the late 70's/early 80's Sally was co-hostess for the British Saturday morning kids show Tiswas. She was often famously shod in great over the knee boots. I've laboring under the delusion that someday I'd put together a whole feature on Sally. Someday I MIGHT trim down the two bootie episodes I've stumbled across and edit the 2007 reunion show. I have every intention of sifting through the multitude of youtube clips (why does she spend so much time behind that freakin' desk?). Someday I hope those things will happen.

OH MY GOD! Now you're talking. This was a programme I watched as a kid and believe me, Sally used to be booted virtually every week. One time she wore the 'kinky nurse' outfit which pared a fairly genuine nurse's dress with fishnet tights and her famous black leather OTKs.

ReplyDeleteShe used to do a feature where Navy sailors would write in and she used to show off wearing a garter with the ships name on it, leading to some nice leg close ups mostly while wearing the boots.

I swear that they could make that exact style of boot (maybe a different material/leather) and they'd sell today. That cut, heel, toe, etc., still work today, IMHO.
