From the 2009 Macy's Parade, after some chatting with Michelle Trachtenberg that will interest glove fans, we see Jane Krakowski wearing her renowned pair of tan leather crotch high boots. Sure it would be better if this was in HD and if we got some better views, but this is what we've got(damn garlands on that float). I'm 99% certain this came from my good friend Dr Morgus.
I hope the upcoming batch of videos will serve as a tribute to the 2009 era Celeboots forum. I'm pretty sure the majority of these clips came from that discussion board. It's hard to believe it was 6 years ago. In yet another example of my friend Dr Morgus and I being two bodies that share a brain (and a DVR), I was becoming nostalgic for that old forum as I was looking through these old clips. Like clockwork I got an e-mail from Dr. M expressing the exact same emotions. They were some pretty good times and I'm glad that some of my old friends have found this blog.
If one of the clips I present is "yours," I thank you for the effort you made so long ago. I hope you won't mind me sharing them in the hope that they will be new for some and a reminder of happy days for others.

ReplyDeleteThere are some boots that fall into the category "there aren't any better." Sure you might find boots that are just as good, but calling a pair "better" is just a hair-splitting matter of personal preference.

DeleteLook at Michele. I love love these boots. I even remember this Thanksgiving Day I was supposed to have Lunch at my then Girlfriends house and come home and go to my parents house. I had a feeling that i should record. This is a while ago so leaving a 4 hour show in hd to record is no small matter and I was planning on recording the games but instead chose to record the parade and man am I glad I did. It was worth taking the 5 minutes to erase a bunch of shows and movies I was planning on editing in order to nab this. (boring story i know but in my old and frail age I am getting nostalgic!)
ReplyDeleteOn a side note and I am biased the Original Celeboots was more about the interaction among the members there and not as much about the pictures and videos though of course those helped. If anyone could have lived at one location on the internet i am most certain it would have been me I was there constantly. I miss all the fun we had. And thanks Bruce for giving a nod to what I consider one of the best places on the internet ever.
They were good times. In many ways that forum helped me deal with the end of thighboots.com. I hope to write more eloquent summation when I finish this little flood.

ReplyDeleteThighboots.com was a great place. I was only a struggling 20 something at the time but it was well worth paying for. On behalf of all of us boot freaks thanks a ton for that site and your work on it.
I have the feeling this blog is going to turn out to be in my top 3 daily stops on the net. I will attempt to control myself from replying to every post.
Jane AND her boots are ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE (Btw, I own some cognac crotch-highs from FernandoBerlin.com that are more or less identical to Jane's (verrrry yummy "frosting"for your feet,legs and thighs, to say the least!!!!! (hehehe) :D
